Cairo Peace Summit. an Egyptian plan to settle the Gaza conflict

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi presented a comprehensive roadmap for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and quelling the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip during the Cairo Summit for Peace, which was convened in the administrative capital to the east of Cairo.

President Sisi emphatically reiterated Egypt's unwavering commitment to opposing any forced displacement of Palestinians and their relocation to Egyptian territory in the Sinai Peninsula. He underscored that a fair and just resolution of the Palestinian issue is paramount and that Egypt would not bear the brunt of the consequences in any scenario.

Sisi delineated the Egyptian roadmap for addressing the current conflict through the following key points:

The resolution of the Palestinian issue does not entail forced displacement; rather, it hinges on affording Palestinians their legitimate rights, including the right to self-determination, enabling them to live with dignity and security in an independent state on their own land, akin to other nations.

Putting an end to the prevailing humanitarian crisis and rejuvenating the path to peace by ensuring the full, secure, expeditious, and sustainable flow of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza.
